Director David Gordon Green (The Righteous Gemstones) usually knows what to do with unlikable characters, but it can be hard to watch the petulant Hawkins as he treats people terribly and thinks only of himself (at least in early episodes).

I honestly think it was written with AI because I don’t think a writing team could come up with something so awful. Not one funny thing I the 3 episodes I made it through. I almost felt sorry for the actors but then realized Will Ferrell was out trying to sell this dreck. Please don’t waste your time.

Not necessarily Will Ferrell's best work but easy to watch and enjoy. Some silliness as expected but there is strong chemistry among some of its starts. Clearly between Molly Shannon and Will there is strong chemistry that makes the jokes land as they need. Overall, watch it without big expectations and you'll enjoy it.
