what a disappointment.... if you're not a die-hard fan of heartstopper and the actors, it's honestly a waste of time. it lacks any depth; the movie format causes the story to be only about charlie and nick, the other characters are basically npcs who care about nothing but nick and charlie's problems. also the visual aspect didn't work for me this time, it was all over the place, the colours got the typical netflix treatment. overall, it was an underwhelming experience and i think they should've stuck to the series format...

I love this series/film more than I can fully express. It is not simply entertainment—it is a beautiful, honest, and deeply meaningful piece of art that I will treasure forever. I cried, I smiled, and I felt every emotion alongside the characters. As an adult, this series/film gave me something I did not realize I still needed: validation. Its LGBTQI+ representation feels sincere, gentle, hopeful, and profoundly human. It reminds us that queer people deserve love stories filled with tenderness, joy, safety, acceptance, and happy possibilities—not only pain and struggle. Watching it felt like healing a part of myself. It made me feel seen, understood, and reassured that it is never too late to embrace who you are or to find comfort in stories that reflect your truth.
