Come on in, it says warmly with every gorgeous shot of island coastline, the water’s lovely. Go to Full Review

The series is the definition of “picky bits” (apologies, heinous phrase) — tasty and occasionally piquant, but not heavy on serious nutrition. Go to Full Review
Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) Jul 11
Just a good, old-fashioned character drama that’s an easy and escapist watch. It’s not trying to do too much. Go to Full Review

Is it going to change your life? No. But it’s July, it’s hot, and sometimes you just want to watch beautiful people cry in a beautiful house on a beautiful island. Go to Full Review

While the show mostly boasts the glowing tones and jangly, cosy soundtrack of any insipid New England drama, it also chucks in references to OnlyFans and pegging. It wants to be savvy about social media, but doesn’t have much new to say about it. Go to Full Review

I like the cast and how they interact with each other, but a series like this doesn’t need a whole lot of edginess to be entertaining. Go to Full Review

LAUREN G @LittleGeezus 1d This time I have no words… simply irresponsible and very different than you’ll ever guess. See more Austin V @RT91506183 2d This was great show. Short episodes, a cast with a ton of chemistry. No unrealistic situations. Just a good feel good show with a great cast. We need more of this. See more Kathy W @kate318 4d I watched this series because it is based on my favorite beach read author’s book. I have read everything Elon Hildebrand has written, even though her woke perspective is a bit annoying. But, I like the stories and most of her characters and the fact that everything happens on or near Nantucket, which I even visited Nantucket because of her books. It’s been awhile since I read this one, but I’m pretty sure there were some significant changes. I don’t remember a DEI airline pilot who hates flying as the mistress, and I don’t remember the daughter as being so nasty. It didn’t help that the actress playing her was your typical, Gen Z, mediocre, uninteresting, flavor of the moth type actress. The rest of the female cast I liked, but I could’ve done without the digs at white people, which is a common Elin Hildebrand thing, unfortunately. But, the good EH things are there, as well: the food, the beach, Bartlett Farms, Cru, and her beloved island and its culture. See more X X @Xxxxxx246 4d Contrived and unrealistic, boring acting. It feels like it was scripted by someone who has watched women speak to each other but is not actually woman. Hate watch. See more Gretchen M @RT5689004321 5d Solid slop, someone called it airport novel just on TV and I think that is a perfect description. See more Geraldine B @Gera67 5d Feels like a Hallmark series but I love the cast and 4 episodes in, it has been enjoyable. See more Read all reviews
