The Hateful Eight may really be sort of terrible. Go to Full Review

While it's not his best film (it's far too long and indulgent at times), Tarantino absorbs the audience into a scene, compelling you to look at each and every inch of it--indicative of many vintage films (his usual film playground). Go to Full Review

The Hateful Eight often feels more like a sadistic stage play than a movie. [Full review in Japanese] Go to Full Review

Tarantino's newest film doesn't know when to quit. It just goes and dies, literally and figuratively. Go to Full Review

When looking at Tarantino's filmography, The Hateful Eight doesn't hold a candle to works like 'Pulp Fiction' or 'Kill Bill,' but it's an entertaining film nonetheless — if you don't mind the runtime. Go to Full Review

[Tarantino] manages to strike the delicate balance of keeping the intimacy of a stage while still infusing the material with enough cinematic flourishes to keep it from feeling too constrained. Go to Full Review

Steven M. 11/29/2021 I am not a fan of this movie. Easily the worst Tarantino film of all-time! See more netina r @nina13791 5d This movie was everywhere, it’s interesting and you never know what’s coming next. you don’t know who to trust for any of the characters the whole movie gives a sense of uncertainty and your basically on your toes the whole time. I think it’s worth a watch but keep in mind it’s really gruesome, made me feel feelings about characters I’ve never had before which most people who have watched it will understand. The whole movie I was trying to figure out who’s side I was cheering for lol. The overall setting of the movie is great and feels never been done before from what I’ve seen and the uniqueness of this movie makes it worth watching. See more Irate T @IrateTyrant 6d The irritating voice of Tarantino In The Hateful Eight, we see a set-up that could have gone to be a Western but instead turns into Murder Mystery while trapped in a blizzard for the entire movie. I thought I was watching an Agatha Christie movie. Then, right around the climax, he decides to personally narrate the film and ruins whatever was left of the semblance of entertainment. Newcomer Walton Goggins was entertaining, and Samuel L. Jackson always gets the job done, but basically everyone else ranged from cringe to underutilized, including, sadly, Kurt Russell whose deliveries detract believability a lot. And even Jackson, nobody in the 1800s called their wang a "dingus" back then. The themes were pretty good as delivered by Jackson. But on top of all of that, you have to see Harvey Weinstein's name attached to it. Fail. I'm harsh on Tarantino, admittedly, but you get what you dish out.
