Todor Y @Phantom961 Jul 19 This film, compared to the first one from 1981, is much better made, including the others up until 1994. I didn't particularly like them. Which is strange because I expected more, on the level of Jason Voorhees, but apparently the 80s collection about Freddy Krueger is quite poorly made. Maybe it's because it has special effects like computer animation that the ones from the 80s don't have. But yeah, the first movie from 81s is the only one that's good, and this one too. I must point out that only the 2010 film shows Fred Kruger's story with the fire in detail. The other film I like is Fred vs Jason. The producers must have absolutely loved this picture—it's the safest, most by-the-numbers version imaginable: a "badass" villain, attractive women, an all-white cast, a paint-by-numbers script, and near-nudity that carefully avoids showing anything. The original films weren’t masterpieces, so we can’t expect much—but at least they had some personality. This one mostly coasts on nostalgia, and even that wears thin halfway through.
