Robson C @RT82519826 03/21/2025 Um casal em lua de mel se perde e o carro deles acaba ficando sem gasolina. Eles se hospedam no hotel em um vilarejo próximo. Tudo começa a se complicar quando o casal recebe o convite do Dr. Ravna, o morador de um castelo no alto de uma montanha, para um jantar. Esta produção da Hammer tem o seu charme, com esta ambientação gótica, além de uma mistura de tempos antigos, com Ravna e sua família usando carruagens, com tempos mais modernos, com um automóvel. O filme grita a toda hora: "Drácula", sempre que aparece Ravna e Professor Zimmer. Mas aqui os vampiros estão como mais um culto. O que estraga um pouco o filme é o final apressado e alguns efeitos risíveis. A parte final deveria ter um tempo perto do que foi a inicial, onde tudo é bem apresentado. Mas ainda uma boa pedida para quem gosta das produções Hammer, ainda que com menos violência e sangue que outras. For example, one character invokes the devil at one point late in the movie to in fact, overcome a coven of devil worshipers! Huh! The plot didn't make a lot of sense to me... conjure up evil to destroy evil? Also the special effects were not strong - bats on nylon lines and too much spaghetti sauce. Good acting though. The last 20 mins was finally a bit more entertaining, but finished too abruptly. See more Michael C @Michael71 01/23/2023 "The Kiss of the Vampire" (Shown on American television under the title "Kiss of Evil") is another Hammer Film Production horror film. As is usually the case with Hammer films the color and production design are quite good. However, you know there is a problem when you have plenty of style but not an equal amount of substance. "The Kiss of the Vampire" is a very slow moving movie. It is unnecessarily drawn out. It's also a bit unusual to see a Hammer film without the late Peter Cushing or the late Christopher Lee, but I am digressing. The story is very dull. Not something you say often about a horror film. The cast is all well and good and give decent performances, but that is just one good point outnumbered by many flaws. "The Kiss of the Vampire" is not a terrible movie, but it is not a movie I would recommend. Hammer Film Productions has done better.
