Faltaram os personagens principais e faltaram mais cenários que fazem parte do universo Hannah Montana. Foi uma tentativa da Miley Cyrus chamar a atenção dos fãs que já se tinham distanciado há muito tempo, além disso alguém que corta com a personagem e diz querer apagar a personagem e agora precisa dela num momento em que a carreira dela se encontra um pouco mais apagada. I still have an appreciation for the show as a piece of pop culture and think a lot of the songs are now memorable. This reunion was fine overall, providing some insights and nostalgia, as well as some solid musical moments. I do feel that it is something really only die-hard fans are going to get something meaningful out of, but it was a sweet check-in on the Cyrus family, and that element of it was nice. I know how much I appreciated this special. It was like taking a walk on memory lane with Miley. Her performances had me in tears, especially The Climb and Younger You. It was refreshing to see Miley in such a good place looking genuinely happy to be back in the place that helped jumped start her career. Going in, it feels like it might lean into cheesy fan service, especially with Miley Cyrus at the center, but it actually captures the energy of the original series quite well. It brings back that early Disney Channel magic and reminds you why the show was such a huge part of pop culture. The biggest strength is the nostalgia, as it highlights the music, tone, and impact of the series. However, the major flaw is the absence of most of the original cast. Aside from Billy Ray Cyrus, it feels incomplete, missing the full ensemble that helped make the show special. Overall, it’s a fun one-time watch that delivers on nostalgia, even if it falls short of being the full reunion fans hoped for.
