Travis M @TMorg007 Jul 10 A tedious slog masquerading as cinema. Some overrated arrogant actors show us how to be horrible human beings with a good tailor. This film may actually help gamblers kick their addiction because if you have to be around or enrich people like this, it's worse than losing money. These characters lost their souls a long time ago, so it is well cast. The actors showed up to set, put on some nice clothes, and simply acted like the terrible people they seem to be in real life. I wish I had this time back to do something, anything else. I know people will say Sharon Stones performance is the winner, and it is great, but Joe Pesci was the one for me. The sound was a bunch of classics, perfectly setting the tone with great cinematography and production designs that truly displayed the glamour. I thought the story, whilst incredibly long, was an amazing story, and to know it's a good amount of it being real is incredible. I thought the way they made things tick together and click into place was a great story, but I really didn't like the overriding voice over. I understood in the beginning but it felt like it overtook the movie sometimes to fill in gaps. It felt like telling not showing. I'm watching a movie not listening to a book.
