Arco (2025) Monita Roy Mohan Despite feeling like parts of it dragged, Arco was a visually stunning, impressively immersive story. The worlds of the film are deeply thought out, making you question everything you see.

Wicked: For Good (2025) Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) I enjoyed myself. The production was once again astoundingly beautiful. The sets, the costumes, my goodness, what a treat to watch on the big screen. There were some wonderful emotional moments that had me full-on crying. And some twists.

The New Mutants (2020) Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) It's not a bad film. It's just boring. It doesn't try to push any boundaries. The only area where they did something different was with the relationship between Dani and Rahne, but aside from that, the story is very limited in its scope.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) We had a really really good time. I thought it was beautiful. I thought it was fun; I thought it was funny. It was really exciting. I had no idea what to expect, and I can’t wait to see more.

Scarlet (2025) Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) I enjoyed watching Scarlet. So much imagination, and a completely unexpected adaptation of Hamlet. The animation is gorgeous and so realistic. The characters are all believable, and some of them are quite lovable, as well... It’s the complete package...

Hedda (2025) Monita Roy Mohan Despite feeling like the second half dragged on, I can’t believe we have something like Hedda... I’m more than shocked that western media has denied these diverse and inclusive takes of classic tales. We need so many more of these.

The Furious (2025) Monita Roy Mohan The Furious is riveting action. It’s relentless in what it does best. If you’re into that kind of film, this is up your alley. For me, I think I’m a little too over these things. The needless gory bits didn’t help. And that last act was one act too long.

Little Lorraine (2025) Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) It’s those little things that made Little Lorraine keep me staring up at the screen. As well as the breadth of characters around the three miners. The film builds out the entire world. Everybody matters. The wives have important roles beyond being wives.

Sk+te'kmujue'katik (At The Place of Ghosts) (2025) Monita Roy Mohan This is an epic quest, it’s a tragic life story, it’s about brotherly love, and it’s a ghost story set against a backdrop of childhood trauma... The story is specifically told by a M’ikmaq person, and that really makes this storytelling experience unique.

Eternals (2021) Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) Whatever you think about the film, the story, whatever, when you come out of it, you're still thinking about the people that you've been watching. And that's probably why I have a much more positive view of this film.

Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) Monita Roy Mohan I felt like there was a perfect film about what makes a hero hiding beneath the surface of Deadpool & Wolverine, one that got drowned out by the terrible quip-fest created by the egos involved.

Empire Waist (2024) Monita Roy Mohan When you watch a film like Empire Waist, which has three fat characters wearing a range of amazing clothing and being very different people, and you’re like, wait, why isn’t this the norm? It’s so easy to have these plus-size people in the film.

Star Trek: Section 31 (2025) Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) I came here to watch Michelle Yeoh kick butt, and kick butt, she did. So, I got my money’s worth. I love Georgiou, the good and the bad versions, so being able to see her again was a delight.

Captain America: Brave New World (2025) Monita Roy Mohan I thoroughly enjoyed myself. After two viewings, I’m still in love with this film. I was so worried, and Cap reminded me I needn’t have been. I love the characters – Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson is the best version of Captain America.

The Old Guard 2 (2025) Louis Skye (Ronita Roy Mohan) I absolutely loved this film. I loved being back in this world. I adore these characters, and the new ones are excellent additions. It feels like they were always here. This was so immersive. We kept talking to the characters onscreen.
