It was super stylish with a great performance from Claire Foy. I thought the pace of the film was excellent. It never felt like it was dragging. The cast was exceptional and more than made up for the loss of Daniel Craig. If you liked the tone of the first movie this next installment is worth a watch. The protagonist is once again taking justice into her own hands, but this is no Mission Impossible. Every aspect is rooted within the realm of possible. Her tenacity and quick thinking feel very much a continuation of the first film, rather than the birth of a new one. Lisbeth takes zero damage, shrugs off explosions, and wins every fight with no tension. It's boring. And the movie can't stop flaunting that she's gay-not because it serves the story, but because they want a gold star for being "progressive." It's a checkbox, not character. Every male character is either an idiot or a villain. No stakes, no realism, just an invincible girlboss posing as empowerment. Watch the original Swedish films instead. This Hollywood trash is an insult. Hard pass. Still complex enough with drama, suspense, twists and heaps of action. Fast moving and very engaging. Very good cinematography and brought to screen in a admirable fashion.
