Don’t be deterred by 30 years of Resident Evil lore. The film is a standalone banger that will enter the pantheon of the best zombie movies, video game movies, and movies that include acid-belching creatures barfing down an elevator shaft.

Loved it! The set, sound, and creature designs were all amazing and creepy, found the movie to be very scary and also hilarious at times while also being disturbing and dark. I wish the ending was better though. Not saying I was expecting it to have a happy ending or anything but it just sort of ends abruptly.
