Azziad J @Azziadjose33 2d Tragic story, well made We found this on streaming last night and decided to give it a try. The story is dark, tragic and compelling. The performances are outstanding. Kudos to Joanna Cassidy, James Brolin, Tia Mowry. Really liked the camera work and the directing. Nice job to the filmmaker. It’s not an "easy movie", but very emotional. See more Jessica J @Jessicajones55 Jul 21 Intense drama with my girl Tia I only recognized Tia from the cast. Wow this movie is intense. I loved seeing my girl take on a darker, grittier role. The whole movie was well done. The Mom is heartbreaking and strong. Both the 2 older actors were really good. The 2 white guy brothers were also good. In general, great ensemble. Good scenes. James Brolin and Joanna Cassidy probably got some awards for this. Director Joe Wehinger takes a TV movie script into more of a dark, indie character study. Really great scenes. Some good dialogue zingers here and there. I wish the ending went bigger. It gets bigger and bigger, then goes soft by the end. It needed an ending stomp! I’d rcommend it. James Brolin is a devilish dark mofo dealing with family tragedy. His wife Joanna Casidy plays heartbreaking with glamour. Supporting cast Tia Mowry, Corin Nemec, Kirk Kepper all create good moments. Is the story predictable? Yes. But this one goes darker. The Director brought more detail and style, made it more fun and delicious. The cast? Nearly perfect. Anti-hero James Brolin.
