Cailyn B @addicted2the90s Sep 13, 2026 Okay! So, there is a lot to unpack here. Starting with how i liked the movie; i thought it was quite interesting. Im currently in school for the study of human behavior, so this movie fit perfectly with my schooling. I want to talk about Ivy’s character. I thought she was trouble from the start. I don’t know if it’s just me, but i thought she was drunk in her first appearance which was the AA lunch. I understand Nona was a changed woman, but she should’ve checked Ivy about her behavior from the start. I totally understand you have to be understanding and patient with certain people, but there is a way to tell someone about themselves in an appropriate manner. I felt Nona was WAY too lenient about her attack on Shay. As I’m writing this i realize the word limit. Soooo, overall, the message this movie has is great, and really shows the struggle between parents who are trying to change and children who have already faced the trauma.
