Red in D @redindenver 6d The format was pretty difficult for me to follow at first: Trying to keep up with the many ever-changing tabs/windows he opened. But I was finally at least able to figure out MOST, if not all of the details. I would have preferred, and would have enjoyed more, the format most filmmakers have used for decades now. There may be a reason why most filmmakers use the format they do. So, at least I know that I don't want to watch another movie made strictly from the computer user's point of view. Not only did it present an eerie and captivating mystery, but the use of news alerts and social media interfaces to weave together a constantly changing story was absolutely masterful. Suspense, thriller, mystery, making you think the whole damn time from start to finish. It keeps you locked in every second, no wasted scenes, no filler, no nonsense. Every click, every message, every screen matters. You’re not just watching the movie, you’re IN it trying to solve it piece by piece like a real investigation unfolding in real time. Ok ok I get it, it’s not some huge old-school theatrical blockbuster with massive action scenes, but for what it is, it hits PERFECT. The way it builds tension through phones, computers, webcams, and online life is genius. It turns everyday tech into pure suspense. It shouldn’t work this well… but it does. If you like thrillers that actually make your brain work, keep you guessing nonstop, and pull you deeper as it goes, WATCH THIS MOVIE. Don’t overthink it—just hit play and enjoy the ride. 10/10. Other than that, it was very unrealistic given the circumstances, the acting was pretty poor given the emotional plot, and I didn’t like that the movie was seen entirely through cameras. The ONLY thing this movie is good for is showing how fake people are online and what they’ll do for attention.
