The rivalry between Robert Angier and Alfred Borden isn't just professional; it’s destructive. It shows that to truly "outdo" a rival, these men were willing to sacrifice their sanity, their families, and ultimately, their humanity. ​The "Prestige" of the Title ​The way the film explains the three parts of a magic trick—The Pledge, The Turn, and The Prestige—is brilliant. It doesn't just name the movie; it provides the literal blueprint for how the story is told.
