They changed the story from a girl who wants to fight for her country and even more for her father to a story where she runs away to fight a shapeshifting phoenix woman. If your gonna watch this movie dont expect a fun action paled adventure with a clever witty girl expect a dramatic mess up. See more MC R @RT91491190 Jul 15 I though after rewatching the original animation movie let's rewatch the Live action and compare. Both were not fresh in my memory. Especially when I saw this movie at the first time. Now I rewatch them both I can say I finally can. The animation is obviously way better. Same themes but the animation hit it way better. Beside it was funnier and way more entertaining. The end of this movie hit way better than the original though. Emotionally and landed perfectly. That's a big plus I think! The witch plot thing was unnecessary and forgettable. Yifei Liu did an amazing job as Mulan and Donnie Yen in this movie is a big plus! Can't wait for Cain hit theatres, the John Wick spin off. Ps. Ming-Na Wen had a cameo wich is great she is in the movie but they did dirty on her. She deserved more than a useless cameo. See more Shreyas C @RT58684106 Jul 11 I felt Mulan was an average to good movie. The action scenes were enjoyable, and the visuals looked beautiful. The movie showed courage, loyalty, and the importance of believing in yourself. However, it lacked some of the charm and emotional connection of the animated version. Some characters felt underdeveloped, but overall it was still an entertaining watch with a strong message about bravery and family. See more Read all reviews
