It only didn't detail unimportant things, like how Will's dad wanted a divorce but stuck through it for Will. So sad though how Will let her fall in love with him when he knew he wanted to die. The last scene is different from the book- in the movie, Will jokingly sings a song. However, in the book, Will is the one who tells Lou to tell him something good, and Lou tells a story about how they met under different circumstances (and Will was fully functional). A happy story. I liked how it wasn't classic ending and that will wasn't magically cured, i think the ending was beautiful as well as so upsetting. would definitely watch again. See more Musa H @Hale256 Aug 7, 2026 Hating on a movie just because it touches a sensitive topic is really absurd...I can't say much except that Emilia Clarke's performance brings out the love and care that people in such real life conditions really need...so anyone who feels like they aren't excited by flashy and trendy stuff but rather want to see something that actually brings out a true picture of our contemporary society...then this movie is an absolute and a must watch for u ...not fast paced but it really touches ur soft spot. My best part is seeing how Will, being a full storm and comfortable in it, begins to let bits of that sunshine in until they begin a beautiful story.
