Less a triumphant return than a gradual slinking back, an unspoken assumption that no one really cares that much about his behavior... That disconnect, the lack of shared reality, accounts for some but not all of the special’s halting, uneven quality. Go to Full Review

Either way, know that nothing in this hour expands beyond territory he hasn’t covered -- including, and namely, any epiphanies about responsibility. Those are not coming. Go to Full Review

Ridiculous remains uninvolving compared with C.K.’s pre-2017 specials, which fits a pattern: His post-allegation jokes just aren’t as memorable as his most acclaimed routines. Go to Full Review

While nothing goes as hard or as funnily insightful as previous specials, this made laugh the entire time, which is the point of a stand-up comedy special. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Lucien D @DESAR Jul 16 I always enjoyed Louis C.K. his jokes are usually very funny. This show was absolutely miserably bad. It was the worst comedy set on Netflix I've ever seen. I don't want to sound mean (I know how hard it is to build a set for a special). However, the jokes seemed force and didn't flow naturally. I am not sure if he just out of practice or he was doing shows with mega fans and then he used that material for the show. Who knows, who cares - this was not a good show See more Chris B @RT04738031 Jul 16 I'm being generous by leaving three stars because I love Louis. At the end of the day a comedy special is supposed to make you laugh and this one just didn't. Yes he landed a few jokes, yes I laughed a few times but in general I didn't. And that's coming from somebody who thinks Louis CK is one of the funniest people on the planet, I really appreciate the way he approaches comedy but this obviously just didn't do it for me. Brilliant thinking, great craftsmanship, yes. But in the end comedy should make you laugh. See more Thomas B @MolokaiMovieMan Jul 16 Surprisingly bad, and I'm a huge fan of everything he's done (with the exception of his Ingram book). Most of the material was "good", but to be honest, I can't remember a single actual bit one week later. Low energy, flat pacing, no real high points, weak close. Sad. See more Karen F @foster.karen Jul 14 Laughed but not as good as his old specials See more Shawn H @Comrade_Arafat Jul 14 As most of Louie's specials, this is filled with quit jokes and excellent timing; however, it doesn't seem like a special exhibiting growth. It seems more as if he's playing Louis C.K. as a character, rather than just being Louis C.K. Worth watching for all fans of his, but don't expect anything different! See more Petros T @PetrosTserpelis Jul 12 C.K.'s delivery remains absolute perfection; he's in total, effortless command of the audience. At the same time, his material remains as provocative, profound and, well, ridiculous as ever. There's some disarmingly presented insight into life and the human condition as he only can. Also of note is the audience interplay section, wherein he takes a standard comedy format and butchers it violently in what is one of his most honest bits, somehow strangely unfunny and deeply funny at the same time.
