What to Know

Critics Consensus

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword piles mounds of modern action flash on an age-old tale -- and wipes out much of what made it a classic story in the first place.

If you can bear the bad patches, there's something dazzlingly fun at the heart of it all. Go to Full Review

Ritchie has reached into the medieval quiver of tales for material, but has not imposed the meta-narrative of Western history onto those stories. For this restraint medievalists should be thankful, and the critics should be a little more forgiving. Go to Full Review

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword has nothing particularly earth-shattering to say; it's not a profound or innovative film. But it's full of joy and energy and ridiculous nonsense. Go to Full Review

Brandon S Jan 13 If you like Star Wars, The Mandalorian, or action films you will REALLY enjoy this film, of course I haven't seen a production including Charlie Hunnam I haven"t enjoyed. I have NO idea why it has been so poorly rated, except that rating may be coming from old reviewers. See more Kim W @Mina22 Jan 13 I actually loved this movie. I love the director too. I watch all his films because they never disappoint. I wish they would rethink the future of any sequel See more Andrea @Drealee000 Jan 9 The movie’s engaging, with a great cast, humor and action. It's one of my all time favs! We watch with subtitles or its easy to miss all the quick wit. See more Nigel S @Funkleberry Jan 6 Normally love Guy Ritchie movies. This one had the action you might expect but none of the charm, humour and wit of his other movies, with the possible exception of casting David Beckham in an evil cameo role. Bore very little resemblance to the Arthurian legend and plot and character development was pretty lame. Very disappointing! See more meeqwon U Jan 2 Guy Rich is one of the best directors See more Owen H @Unknxwn_Records Dec 9 This movie is Great, not 5 starts maybe 4 but what makes it 5 is the music if you watch this film and listen to the music omg its class as a producer it stands out from other films Daniel Pemberton is the goat See more Read all reviews
