Ritchie has reached into the medieval quiver of tales for material, but has not imposed the meta-narrative of Western history onto those stories. For this restraint medievalists should be thankful, and the critics should be a little more forgiving.

…part of the reason that Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur film never seems to to get started is that it was intended to be the first entry in a six movie cycle of Arthurian films which was wisely canned the moment anyone set eyes on this shambles for the ages….

If you like Star Wars, The Mandalorian, or action films you will REALLY enjoy this film, of course I haven't seen a production including Charlie Hunnam I haven"t enjoyed. I have NO idea why it has been so poorly rated, except that rating may be coming from old reviewers.

The movie’s engaging, with a great cast, humor and action. It's one of my all time favs! We watch with subtitles or its easy to miss all the quick wit.

Normally love Guy Ritchie movies. This one had the action you might expect but none of the charm, humour and wit of his other movies, with the possible exception of casting David Beckham in an evil cameo role. Bore very little resemblance to the Arthurian legend and plot and character development was pretty lame. Very disappointing!
