The film delivers good action sequences and an excellent final showdown with Owlman. However, the narrative moves too quickly, character development is superficial, and the film ultimately leaves you wanting more. See more Bret M. @BretM-3 Mar 14, 2026 In an age of everybody feeling like they have to do multiverses, we're all familiar with the idea of " alternate universes" and "opposite versions of characters we know." But this movie does the multiverse in a way I hadn't seen before. Rather than have a character or villain who wants to conquer, control, or rule the multiverse, we have villains who want to destroy it. I've never seen a movie that establishes an "Earth Prime" the way this one does. We find out that if they destroy Earth Prime, they will destroy all the other Earths, wiping out the entire multiverse. This is a cool and unique concept that works well in the context of this movie. But the awesome plot is complemented by the amazing, DC Universe standard, animation. I definitely prefer this style of animation to a lot of the animation in Marvel shows like "What if...?" Everything is more fluid and realistic looking and I think it just looks better. Overall, if you like DC animation, you should 100% check this one out.
