What to Know

Critics Consensus

Going back to basics with rip-roaring set pieces and fossilized clichés, Jurassic World Rebirth doesn't evolve this prehistoric franchise but does restore some of its most reliable DNA.

Audience Says

Equal parts comforting and terrifying, returning to the beloved Jurassic World is a thrill, and while predictable, Rebirth jump-starts the franchise with a dino-mite time at the movies.

Connective tissue between CGI-heavy set-pieces is perfunctory at best... and usually reliable David Koepp’s script bogged down with flat humour, paper-thin characters and plot holes so vast a T-Rex could amble through them. Go to Full Review

It’s sloppy, sappy, frenetic, charmless, plotless, derivative and devoid of surprise and characters to give a damn about, but oh those dinosaurs! Go to Full Review

The result is not quite an extinction event-level disaster for the franchise, but neither is it a strong argument for its continuation. Go to Full Review

It makes clear that experiments aimed at appealing to what executives consider "the audience" are usually treacherous ground, at least from a strictly creative standpoint. Go to Full Review

Like "Kong: Skull Island" if it looked fake and numerous shots were so badly staged that you want to rewind and see if the filmmaker’s decisions were really as terrible as those of the characters. Go to Full Review

It's formulaic cinema, obviously yes, but it's formulaic cinema that is delivering a quality product. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Gerald Hernandez Jan 18 my love for dinosaurs continues with my children and Jurassic Park has been a staple in my life this Jurassic Park however was like the first one very fun ride very fun effects and very fun dinosaurs. See more Jim Q Jan 18 no bueno.....hated the made up hybrid dinosaurs See more HolographicTurd G Jan 14 It wasn't bad, but it was so middle of the road. Actors were decent and there were some genuinely emotional and funny parts in the film. CGI was kind of choppy in some areas, but it wasn't the worst I've seen. It was appropriate length and the only real actor I can recall is ScarJo. Hoping that like the dinosaurs, this will be the last of these we see for a while. I'm sick of dinosaurs and theme parks, See more thomas Jan 14 Funny but tired of these movies just stop See more Claire Jan 13 So bad. So sad too. I’m a Jurassic World and Park fanatic.
