It’s one of the most underrated films directed by Chao-Bin Su. The storyline is compelling, and all the actors delivered outstanding performances. I look forward to seeing more movies directed and written by Chao-Bin Su.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is still the best but this is one of the most unforgettable wuxia movies up there with Ashes of Time, Hero, The Swordsman series, Bride with White Hair, Shadow, 14 Blades, Seven Swords, Once Upon a Time in China series etc. Such memorable characters as Drizzle (Michelle Yeoh) and the 3 other assassins: Wheel King, the Magician, and Lei Bin.

Solid wuxia movie with a good story, well-used dramatic elements and some gorgeous fight scenes. Crouching Tiger 2 can only wish it had been this good.
