See more Jason B @RT86723460 3 days ago Very good classic not to woke or pc all good See more Nerdy C @NerdyCritic 5 days ago (No Spoiler) When watching these types of horror film's, you expect the characters to not be the brightest because otherwise the plot wouldn't happen. however there is a line when the character make such bizarre choices that it makes what should have been an intense scene into a comical moment. the pacing was also very slow, it would have been fine if it had tension but without it, it just felt sluggish. one strange choice, is this character that should have been an antagonist due to her action's, but was treated like a victim? the hippo was also an odd antagonist, due to him not appearing when he should, and appearing when it makes little sense. all I could think about is that if the film had regular crocodiles you find in the wild, they would have ended up being a better killer than this hippo. if you are looking for a "so bad it's good horror film", like Sharknado or Killer Sofa. then you might enjoy this film, but I feel like there are more funny bad horror films out there. Sadly, the movie felt too slow and sometimes genuinely dumb, with not enough tension or entertainment to keep me invested. The creature has potential, but the execution never really clicked for me. Feels like a script generated by AI, some just banal decisions made by the characters can only be described this way. Got an escape route? Back you go. Trying to get away from a malevolent creature? Let’s have a snack break. Need to give your character’s meaning? Chuck in a quick 15 second back story monologue so we’ll care about them a bit more when they meet their fate. They even keep a character alive who is literally responsible for three of the other’s deaths. Bizarre.
