Disagree with some other posts. Thought Nick Nolte was superb, as was the actress playing Matilda. The ups and downs of a person experiencing Alzheimer's are portrayed well, as is the effects on different family members. Filled with poignant moments, sadness and joy, you should watch it!

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. It’s clear that nobody involve in the making of this movie has ever had anything to do with anyone with dementia. The acting by the two leads is over the top and just bad. Matt Dillon sleeps his way through the entire thing. For some inextricable reason most of the cast are dressed as if it’s the 1930’s (despite prominent use of iPhones and iPads). Do yourself a favour- watch something (anything) else.

i LOVED the actress who plays the little girl named Tilda and her mom is good too but Nolte was awful in this and so was Eric Roberts who plays the dr.

Film destinato a dividere totalmente; la performance di Nick Nolte è di altissimo livello; negli ultimi anni l'attore è riuscito a ritagliarsi diversi ruoli con le caratteristiche dell'anziano con problemi di salute, fisici o mentali, che gli hanno reso parecchio. Il suo personaggio funziona in tutto, è bravo nella trasposizione dei sintomi della malattia, i suoi dialoghi sono ben scritti e tutto funziona. Il resto degli elementi invece è vicino al disastro; una trama improponibile per larghi tratti; una famiglia che unisce dialoghi e comportamenti senza senso ed un finale con tanto di corsa ad abbracciarsi a dir poco raccapricciante.
