In the not too distant future, two drifters (Zac Efron, Anthony Hayes) traveling through the desert stumble across the biggest gold nugget ever found, and the dream of immense wealth and greed takes hold. They hatch a plan to excavate their bounty with one man leaving to secure the necessary tools. The other man remains and must endure harsh desert elements, ravenous wild dogs, and mysterious intruders, while battling the sinking suspicion that he has been abandoned to his own fate.

Film post apocalittico molto strano, non tanto come sceneggiatura di base, tanto come sviluppo. Un luogo ed un tempo non meglio definiti e due personaggi che si ritrovano insieme per un viaggio della speranza. Zac Efron protagonista assoluto se pure i colori ovattati non aiutano a mantenere alta l'attenzione che con qualche piccolo trucchetto e cambio di situazione viene tenuta alta. Il classico finale con allucinazioni e sofferenza è difficile da mandar giù; così come l'ultima sequenza rapida e totalmente insensata.

I liked it. Very good cinematography. Incredible performances by Zac Efron and rest of cast. Anthony Hayes did good here. Love the desert setting and soundtrack matches it perfectly. Storyline lacks punch but the believable acting fills that gap.
