Though she's a talented gymnast, Janey has always followed the orders of her strict Army colonel father and stayed out of the spotlight. However, when she moves to a new town and meets the carefree Lynne, she disobeys her father for the first time in her life. With Lynne's encouragement, Janey enters a TV dance competition -- and soon finds herself with both a cute dance partner and an archrival who is dead set on getting Janey eliminated from the contest.

Except the characters weren't super likable or relatable. I did enjoy Helen Hunt's character, but the rest were take it or leave it. And while it is a movie about dancing, I would have preferred more story versus a ton of dance scenes. There's so much more that could have been developed outside of that, and I really feel like it missed the mark. But, over all, a great watch!
