In this newest installment in the mega-hit "Descendants" franchise, former Villain Kid Uma, now headmaster of Auradon Prep, extends an invite to the school to another VK -- Red, the rebellious daughter of the tyrannical Queen of Hearts from Wonderland. The Queen of Hearts has long held a grudge against Auradon, and especially Cinderella, and seizes the opportunity to seek revenge when she drops her daughter off at school. When the Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, Red must team up with Cinderella's perfectionist daughter Chloe and travel back in time to try to undo the traumatic event that set Red’s mother down her villainous path.

Descendants: The Rise of Red is a mixed bag. I really enjoyed this cast and the music, but there were a lot of missed opportunities and holes in the story that tied back to the writing team.

The ending was pretty abrupt, some songs were boring, and the return of Uma just felt like nostalgia bait but overall I enjoyed it. The new characters were cute, especially Bridget. BRIDGET WAS ADORABLE!!!!! I JUST WANTED TO HUG HER THE WHOLE TIME!!!! I even loved how it expanded the Descendants universe by introducing us to Wonderland. Chloe and Red are really cool protagonists in my opinion and you can tell that Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker were both having a BLAST. The pocket watch time machine was really cool as well. In fact, that’s something I absolutely ADORED about this movie. The time travel adventure was really fun, in my opinion. I am MASSIVE fan of time travel movies so I enjoyed that. I also thought that Uliana was a decent villain too. As a whole, Descendants: The Rise of Red may not be perfect, but there’s still a lot to love in this. Rating: 6/10

I love this movie so much is so good. I want to dance and sing to it. It’s my favorite movie ever way than the original it’s just my opinion. I love this movie so much my fave. É muito fraco, mas tem bons momentos. É estranho os personagens começarem a cantar rap do meio do nada, o GGI é muito ruim e o roteiro coloca as situações de uma maneira rasa e genérica, indo de um ponto a a um ponto b de uma forma tanto fez como tanto faz. Mas existem bons momentos.
