Sabih A @RT57875922 Sep 7, 2026 OHHHH MYYYY DAYYSS WHAT A SUPERMAN STORY, absolutely incredible. It's not perfect, but it's Superb. I love how Superman is embodied here. Superman is dying, yet he doesn't let that stop him from continuing to be the Man his planet needs. Imagine we get a similar scene in Man of Tomorrow as the jail sequence between Lex and Clark. I always liked in Superman: T.A.S. that Lex likes Clark but HATES Superman. That's partially why I disliked the line in Superman (2025): "I'll be back later with someone else you've chatted with, and I'll kill them too. Maybe that reporter you always do interviews with. Maybe I'll kill Clark Kent next." He's implying he'll actually kill Clark, not just hurt Superman. The ending is incredible. It's amazing how Superman is so much more Human than the rest of us. I only wish I could be as near-perfect as Superman, even with all his problems. In short: An incredible story for the most human character: Superman. The movie is quite perfunctory and behaves like a disconnected set of clips, each hit-or-miss. That said, some Kent and Luthor scenes are well-choreographed, and the latter's monologues and arc are a high point. See more Bret M. @BretM-3 Mar 20, 2026 All-Star Superman is one of the saddest superhero movies I've ever watched. This movie basically asks the question "what if Superman had terminal cancer?" He (of course) doesn't, but he still has an illness that will kill him and he knows it, leaving him with little time left. And this is a very sad thing to watch. This is helped by the amazing voice cast. In particular the voice actors for Superman and Lois. They really make this movie sad. But unfortunately the biggest fault of this movie is the fact that we have a lot of side plots that don't feel like they have to do with the main plot. But that's just a byproduct of it being a comic series adaptation. Overall this is a really heartbreaking movie that is a great send off to the character of Superman. But it’s one of the best animations by DC. Strong storytelling. Before that he gives Lois a day she will never forget and a glimpse into his abilities. All-Star Superman strips the character down to his core and gives us a poignant, emotional sendoff that captures his strength, kindness, and quiet nobility. The animation might not match Frank Quitely’s art, but the heart of Morrison’s story is intact. It’s not about punching villains (though there’s some of that); it’s about Superman confronting death and showing us why he’s still one of the greatest heroes of all time. Some of the story beats feel rushed which is hard to avoid when condensing such a layered comic but the spirit shines through. Bittersweet, hopeful, and deeply respectful of the source material.
