Par H @Parhwy Mar 21 Guardians of the Tomb (2018) is a 91-minute-long Australian/Chinese action film I saw on Prime in 2026. Film in Beijing, Gobi and Gold Coast. This is bad. It made $8000 at the Australian box office off 26 million budget. The dialogue audio is out by microseconds for technical reasons I cannot fathom (I googled it, and it’s a common complaint of this film). Flashbacks within flashbacks with sideflashes. It takes this film 30 minutes to get to the point. A dust storm with lightning fireballs. Dialogue is awful: rocks are falling, clearly, so character says, "watch out for the rocks" (this type of stupidity happens all the time). The plot is so convoluted I ceased to care after about 30 minutes. As I watched this, I imagined the film’s premiere release, red carpet, and the actors and production team watching it – and cringing so hard. One positive: from what I can tell, the 2000-year-old Chinese characters (writing) looked legit. Rewatch? No. Recommend? No. 2/10. I would rather read a book than watch this 'film' the acting is awful and it has no plot. I couldn't care less when any of the characters die as their acting was dead already. The characters are thick and the whole movie rides on the fear of the spiders. The spiders did the best acting in the entire movie. I also couldnt tell weather it was an advert or the actual movie if i looked away for more than a second. As a conclusion I would rather jump into the north sea in my underwear and get struck by lightning than watch this movie.
