The interwoven stories of five storied women whose lives were marked by quests for independence, deep-seeded desires and the desperate need for something far greater than they have ever known. Sarah, married to Abraham and desperate for a child, takes an impassioned and complicated step through Hagar that forever alters her family's path before experiencing an unexpected miracle late in life. Rebekah, intent on securing her favored child's destiny, intervenes in her sons' lives, setting into motion a legacy of sibling rivalry and division. And once inseparable sisters Leah and Rachel become rivals in love and motherhood, building a fractured but foundational family whose descendants will carry the weight of history. Through longing, sacrifice and perseverance, these women leave an enduring imprint on a story much bigger than their own.

Angie Han The Hollywood Reporter 3d
For all its divine ambition, the series falls victim to the same old pitfalls that have sunk biopics of so many lesser mortals. It places too much faith in the inherent draw of its subjects, and not enough in the power of back-to-basics storytelling. Go to Full Review

The Faithful: Women Of The Bible spins a compelling view of the book of Genesis that hasn’t been explored to this point, with performances that humanize the figures being featured, overcoming some clumsy writing. Go to Full Review
PJ Grisar The Forward Mar 18
The proceedings are too rooted in the mythic to fully capture the human drama at the story’s core. Go to Full Review

... despite the name, The Faithful is anything but, and those deviations keep the drama from being compelling or effective. Go to Full Review

Joanne E. @Joelle2025 3d I don’t know why others did not enjoy this. I found it to be such a special gift …. Especially during lent. The unwavering faith, and the strength of our Holy Women is incredibly uplifting. I did not find Abraham to be weak, I found him to be a faithful, strong leader - who had a heart. Minnie Driver and Natasha Karan were incredible! See more Aye E @RT43717499 4d Oh, no Minnie! What have you done??!! See more Yulanda T @RT51282178 4d This was bloody awful! Within the first 10 minutes nothing but woke feminist BS! They weren't biblically accurate. They made Abraham to be a weak bumbling fool and Sarah to be some strong independant warrior chick, Absolute rubbish. I was very disappointed and stooped watching after 25 minutes. This was terrible!
