A visually dazzling space odyssey that's carried along effortlessly by the gravitational pull of Ryan Gosling at his most winning, Project Hail Mary is a near-miraculous fusion of smarts and heart.

One stellar Gosling + one arachnid-ish alien + one Hail Mary mission = lightning in a spaceship.

This is the most ambitious picture, in terms of structure and spectacle, that the filmmaking duo of Lord and Miller have ever made, and sometimes it reels out of their grasp. Go to Full Review

As far as rousing, interstellar science fiction pulp adventures are concerned, directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller pull out all the stops with the monumentally entertaining Project Hail Mary. Go to Full Review

This is a well-told story. 'The Martian' irritated some viewers with its loose interpretation of science, but Project Hail Mary is more fictional, and hence more forgiving. Go to Full Review

Sammer 21m Definitely a feel good movie. I really enjoyed it. Laughed, wanted to cry, my urge to kill faded. I didn't read the book, but I wish I did. See more Steve 22m Edge of my seat entertainment. The best movie Ive seen in a long time. See more Judith A 23m We very much enjoyed the movie. It was very interesting and heartwarming at the same time. The AMC IMAX theater - not so much. The sound was so loud that I needed to place a rolled up napkin in each ear. It took some time and searching for the AMC theater to locate our tickets. They also told us that they prefer that their guests use the AMC app and not the Fandango app for such purposes. We will NOT be going to this location again on Signal Butte in Mesa, AZ. See more Mike G @Mumbolia 23m It’s been a long time since I’ve been so looking forward to a movie and have been so disappointed. If you are expecting a quality film on par with the Martian, don’t waste your time. This is basically a three hour bromance between Ryan Gosling and a rock. In it is too far-fetched to be believable.( for example they kidnap a goofy scientist and put him on a spaceship against his will in a coma because he resisted going in the first place cause he knows nothing about being an astronaut. Guess what he wakes up and now knows how to run a spaceship.!) In trying to be both a serious science fiction movie, and a comedic fantasy, it ends up being neither and it’s just a huge waste of time. See more Kerry H 29m Andy Weir has such great character development! Such a great story!!! See more Dana 31m It was a great story. Felt as though it could have been edited a little more. It was too long. Loved the casting. See more Read all reviews
