Agatha I @RT35014734 2 days ago The initial dialogue and engagement between Emma and Jack is portrayed as serendipitous. Emma clearly wants approval, despite being educated, attractive and a bubbly young woman. The trouble with the plot is she really comes on too strong, and gives homewrecker vibes, as if to be secretly jealous of this older successful man with a family, using her attractiveness, sexuality and youth to seduce him with her attitude towards Jack of "poor me, I liked a guy who didn't like me, now you need to fix me and take me home..." She later uses the fact that she was drunk as an excuse after Jack does fall for her, although she initiated the entire encounter, again and again, and he was trying to be polite. He is far more relatable than her, although their interaction was at first fun and harmlessly unconventional, this film could have been Great. It could have gone a different direction but Emma's Strong beginning ended weak and blaming Jack, rather than taking responsibility for her part. The acting of Emily Hall is outstanding and totally mesmerising. The conversation is compelling and watching the relationship pivot engages all of your emotions. You are left asking yourself a question that I will only generalise as "I wonder if Jack had only............." It's a little gem with only two characters and thus requires great acting to keep the engagement. The acting is truly outstanding and beautiful to watch. See more Bisquiteen T @RT65021124 Jan 12, 2026 Subverts expectations, but in a good way - not in a "haha we got you, we totally lied to you and here's a totally nonsensical twist" way, but, to keep things spoiler-free, in a "huh, that went in a different direction than I thought it would, but it's still logical for the story so that's almost clever" kind of way. The leads were both adept at their jobs and even when I thought (wrongly) that this would be a trope-heavy "teehee we pulled the rug out from under you" mess with nothing to say, I was interested enough to stick around. Glad I did. As a side note, the transcription for the subtitles is absolutely TERRIBLE, I mean, like, saying "I'm such a basket" instead of "I'm such a basketcase" or "in the Google of Flowers" instead of "in the lieu of flowers," but that was pretty funny so can't be too mad about it. See more TRAVIS G @RT13574667 Mar 20, 2025 I just watched the movie WRONG NUMBERS. The movie has a lot of strong scenes that are deep and takes a look at what can go wrong from a one night stand. The movie is directed by Duane Edwards and stars Emily Hall & David Kelsey. This is a very realistic journey of a woman with believable characters that are incredibly genuine to watch on screen. The storyline pulls you in many directions as you're watching this movie. The movie has lots of real life circumstances. This is a natural ride through life portrayed on screen. It was also shot in a very cool way with many scenes that make you think and reflect. I thought all the lead actors all had great onscreen chemistry– they were great together.
