See more 02/04/2013 Shocking. The way each soul is divided into layers explicitly detailed is astonishing. While witnessing these rough world corners, one naturally arrives to the conclusion that black-and-white photography was often used by movie-makers for their own advantage in order to "obscure" some of the most disturbing external manifestations of our intrinsic malevolence. A brother and his young sister in or near Calcutta, following the 1947 Partition of India, essentially adopt a boy after his mother was taken away. It's not difficult to figure out where things will progress in that regard story-wise, but there are some dark turns.
