04/19/2015 The makeup for the Ape Woman is eerily similar to Planet of the Apes some 20+ years later. Of the trilogy, this is the best one. Unfortunately, by this point Acquanetta was a diplomat in Mexico leaving behind her acting career. The memorable Rondo Hatton appears as Moloch. See more 04/19/2015 The atmosphere is all but non-existent, any Gothic horror negated by 1940s cars, cities and patter, and since there is no way in blazes this is going to work as a science fiction film either, the whole thing is left stranded on the sharp reefs of indifference.
