Unable to adapt to a post-Communist Ukraine after losing his job and learning that his wife is leaving him for another man, Anatoli (Alexandre Lazarev) decides to commit suicide by hiring a hit man to kill him. But, when he falls for a young prostitute Vika (Tatiana Krivitskaia) on the night he's supposed to die, he suddenly has second thoughts and tries to cancel the assassination, eventually hiring a second hit man to kill the first one before he tracks down Anatoli.
