Leslie Odom Jr.

Actor Leslie Odom Jr. was most commonly known for his roles in television dramas. In 2007, he appeared in the TV movie "Supreme Courtships." In 1998, he made his Broadway debut as Paul in "Rent." In 2015, he played Aaron Burr in the Off-Broadway production of Hamilton at The Public Theater, winning a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. He continued playing the role when the show moved to Broadway the following year. At the beginning of his acting career, Odom had roles on several types of programs such as "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1999-), "Gilmore Girls" (2000-07) and "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-2012). He also appeared in "The Big House" (2004), "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2005-) and "Threshold" (CBS, 2005-06). He continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "Vanished" (2006), "Big Day" (ABC, 2006-07) and "The Bill Engvall Show" (TBS, 2007-09). He also appeared in "NCIS: Los Angeles" (CBS, 2009-). More recently, he tackled roles on "Smash" (2012-13), "House of Lies" (Showtime, 2012-16) and "Gotham" (Fox, 2014-). He also appeared in "Red Tails" (2012). He also lent his distinctive voice to "Stories From the Road to Freedom" (History, 2013). Odom most recently acted in the mystery adaptation "Asesinato en el Expreso de Oriente" (2017) with Daisy Ridley.
