The movie very skillfully goes from the macro (coverage of the various demonstrations and encampments) to the micro (interviews with individuals who suffered in the mortgage crisis, searing examination of the behavior of the police).

In my opinion, the movie uses very good camera and audio visual equipment and the crew members and the filmmakers have played their roles very well. I really liked it.

Yes, I was one of those hoping, praying, rooting for the Occupy Movement, a cause that reminded every major city in America -- and 82 countries -- that crucial values most thoughtful people hold dear are being shredded by multi-national corporations. Heartbroken as I was to see that movement dissolve, I was curious to see if "99%" answers the question: Why did that movement fail? Spoiler alert: No, it does not. In fact, it offers no overview of the movement nationally or globally, but focuses only on NYC's protest with a fairly long, sometimes monotonous, string of interview clips. Great cause, weak flick.
