See more Desert R @RT11413527 Sep 20, 2024 This movie was one of the staple movies of my childhood. I can remember watching it on VHS a good bit. I haven't seen this movie in over 15 years at least so when it came to mind today I decided to give it a rewatch and I wish I hadn't. It has not held up compared to what I watched as a child. Granted I was a kid but I remember this movie being a masterpiece and it is anything but. The pacing, some of the acting, the ending...and don't even get me started on the animal puppetry. I guess sometimes it's a good idea to give your old childhood movies a rewatch and sometimes it isn't. This is one of those isn't instances. This one should have stayed a memory.
