Mike's character has no arc at all. But don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's here. The movie was getting kind of bland until he showed up. He's the spice this gumbo needed.

The hate for this movie is interesting. The question is, "Why did you watch another 'Why Did I Get Married movie?" If you loved the first one, and loved the second one, then I understand watching the 3rd. To watch the 3rd, and write a bad review is absurd. This movie was way better than the previous two, in so many ways. The acting, the story, catching up with everyone. The story is now complete. The first Tyler Perry movie I actually clapped for; and I know how that sounds, I know.

The real question is "Why did he make this Movie"? This horrible attempt at the 3rd leg of the WDIGM franchise failed on so many levels. First, let's add a million new characters all at once and confuse the shit out of everyone. Too many young people; after a while, you did not know who's child was who's. The breakout star of this film was Taraji's love interest who lit up the screen and was a much better actor than most of his colleagues. The Jil Scott's Mom story went nowhere. If a son treats his mom like garbage, why would you let him marry your daughter.The film relied too much on Lake Como, Italy than the story itself. What's up with the wedding scene? The Groom and best man arrive on a Diddy style boat which seemed to be 2:00 P.M. while the Bride arrived dead in the night on a horse and buggy...it's like 8:00 PM....the groom was waiting all that time? Or did Tyler insist on using the day footage from the Diddy video. Tasha Smith's plastic surgeon deserves an Oscar.
