BIG ALAN RITCHSON, who has made a career playing Big JACK REACHER on AMAZON, was, FINALLY, after attending enuff EYES WIDE SHUT Parties getting his chance to be the STAR of a MAJOR movie. He is mostly MUSCLES...THICK NECK. Butt can he ACT?? The JURY is still out. The movie, of course, was about a WAR MACHINE or a SUPED Up version of ROBOCOP said to be some sorta Outerspace Alien Lifeform. Cardboard characters straight outta Central Casting: THE TRANS AMBIGUOUS SOLDIER aka #44 (Alex King). THE DOUBTING JEALOUS SOLDIER aka #15. THE LONE BLACK MAN (Stephen James), who gits carried around on a cot most of the movie. RITCHSON gets to be THE LONE HERO....insert (trope) reason that drive him here which included a promise to his (trope) Dead Brother (Jai Courtney). This coulda been named ROBOCOP: THE WAR MACHINE. The time flies, and everything moves very quickly with no dull moments. The veteran theme is handled well and adds real charm to the movie. It’s a great watch. The special effects were great, but the plot is weak. Ritchson is seeking redemption for the death of his brother, through saving a fellow marine, that's pretty much the entire story. I felt like they could've done more but definitely worth a watch towards the middle or bottom of the watchlist, you won't be blown away but it is watchable and has several good moments.
