Jennifer Tehani S 12/08/2024 I LOVE this documentary. What a beautiful portrait of a life lived authentically and raising children by example. So honest, heartwarming and powerfully vulnerable. I hope this saves lives. I know it will. I’ve seen too many friends fall to despair. I’m grateful that Janae’s story is accessible to the world. Especially in these times. What a beautiful and necessary film. As an ally, I wish I could say thank you to the filmmakers (and Janae). Thank you for making this important and moving film. See more DeeAnn H 08/20/2023 I was VERY impressed. I am a transgender person, and while every journey is unique, I think many can relate to Janae's path. Ultimately, and she mentions this, that doing sports in high school, joining the Marines and powerlifting were ways of trying to demonstrate to herself that she wasn't transgender. But, you can't hide from who you are forever. Everyone who believes that "grooming' is possible should watch this. We don't "become". We are from the beginning, but often it takes a while to discover that. Unfortunately people who are on the Outside looking In think that they know, and form their prejudices accordingly. This no nonesense view from the Inside puts paid to that. I just learned that she lost her middle son in 2022. I don't know the circumstances, but my wish is that they all find peace after such a sad situation.
