Kevin Costner fits the role perfectly as a talented but stubborn golfer who refuses to play it safe, and his performance carries much of the film’s charm. The movie does a good job balancing humor, character moments, and the competitive side of the sport. While the story follows a fairly predictable path, it stays engaging thanks to its easygoing tone and likable characters. The chemistry between the leads works well enough, even if it’s not especially deep. What really stands out is the film’s message about taking risks and sticking to your style, even when it doesn’t always pay off. Overall, it’s a good, enjoyable watch with plenty of memorable moments. A 7/10 sports film.
