Released in 2002, the film takes familiar mob movie elements; crime families, loyalty, betrayal, and power struggles and combines them with the emerging world of cybercrime and electronic banking. The result is a movie that feels both nostalgic and surprisingly ahead of its time, especially when viewed today with internet dominating our day-to-day lives. Overall, this movie is a solid Mafia drama with an interesting early-2000s twist. It captures the feel of classic mob cinema while also exploring the changing face of organized crime, making it an enjoyable watch for fans of the genre. See more NYC G @RT15936484 Jan 30, 2026 The cast list looked promising. Turns out its a vanity piece for wannabe actor Provenzano. There’s no plot, just scenarios meant to make an unlikely little guy look tough. It felt like Provenzano was pretending to be Pacino & hired a bunch of playmates to go along with his charade. I haven’t seen him in anything else since. James Caan seems annoyed to be there. The strongest actors were given limited screen time to make room for talentless randoms. It’s as if they wanted to use what they thought were good lines but it’s all cliches from other films. There are literally no solid female roles at all. This film has no redeeming qualities at all, just awful. The real challenge in this genre has to be to avoid the easy schtick mob humor and get down to interesting behavior..... this film falls for the old gimmicks and offers nothing of authentic novelty. While the concept is fitting for a mob story, in which this film is told, the execution is poor. For 95 minutes of screen time, the plot details lack depth and the characters constantly deliver lines of dialogue, meant to be witty, but come across as cheesy. Ultimately, this picture is as bland as its production value. The constant cursing is for a mature audience, as is the violence, which is backed by cheap sound and blood effects. Ultimately, there is more than enough profanity, but not enough bloodshed. There are some familiar faces in the crowd, although the question is why. Frank Vincent is okay. James Caan is an absolute waste. Louis Vanaria, Christian Maelen, and Danny Provenzano take the leads in unsatisfactory fashion.
