En nous plongeant dans une petite ville du Nord, le film de Lucas Belvaux tente d'expliquer la montée de l'extrême droite dans notre pays et y arrive plutôt bien. Malheureusement, Belvaux s'encombre d'une histoire d'amour particulièrement loupée et ce n'est ni la faute d'Emilie Dequenne, excellente et Guillaume Gouix, mais bien d'un scénario qui passe à côté de ce qu'il aurait dû être (et qui tombe un peu dans la caricature avec le personnage d'Anne Marivin).
