The Things You Kill is a slow burning crime drama that uses restraint and psychological tension over conventional thrills.....What begins as an intimate portrait of family pressure and grief gradually slips into moral ambiguity and quiet menace.....The script reframes revenge not as catharsis, but as a mirror reflecting inherited violence and fractured identity.....Its symbolism and silences are carefully woven into the narrative, rewarding patience rather than demanding shock....The deliberate pacing may test some viewers, especially before the central conflict fully emerges....Still, The Things You Kill is a haunting, thoughtful film that lingers by asking whether confronting the past truly frees us or reshapes us in its image.....

I suppose some will see this exercise in existentialism fascinating. I found it confounding and unnecessary. Two-thirds of the way through the film, actors playing one role switch to assume a different role. And one actor becomes a substitute for a dog. Tiresome and over-thought.

This is a little overrated but still a compelling revenge thriller with a story that gets you involved in the plot and all the characters. I do think halfway through the story crumbles a little but the performances are outstanding!
