The film is morally complex in a way that makes it genuinely challenging to watch, largely because it commits fully to telling a WWII story from the German point of view. Go to Full Review

"The Tank" follows a unique narrative path marked by clever foreshadowing and intriguing moral reflections, finishing up with a bold final act that immediately calls for a second viewing. Go to Full Review

'Der Tiger' trades battlefield spectacle for moral decay and existential dread. Claustrophobic and technically impressive, it raises sharp questions about guilt and obedience, but struggles to turn its heavy ideas into compelling drama. Go to Full Review

Daniel H @NoGoodFilmsAnymore 4h If the second half of the film was like the first half, it would have been one of the best war films ever, potentially even the best ever. It's worth watching for that one hour alone. The second half of the film is like ChatGPT wrote it for them. Just absolute nonsense. See more sam c @Warpig44 1d Went into this film with low expectations due to many films like this being short of the mark. However was enthralled with the visuals, setting and cast. The usual inconsistency’s expected with a fictional movie were ultimately all explained away and forgiven by the final act, in a clever and refreshing plot. See more Rene G @Kurwenal 1d Surrealistic movie with a harrowing ending that stays with you long after the credits have finished. Great cinematography and performance from all main actors. Be prepared for an unexpected plot twist at the end ... See more Danial S @DanThan 2d SPOILER! The movie itself was great. The cinematography, acting, and overall story seemed great at first. However, the ending revealed such an underwhelming and disappointing twist. Essentially since the whole movie was actually a hallucination right before the whole tank crew dies from the bridge bombing, it leaves you with a sense of dissatisfaction that nothing really happened. An absolute waste of my time I’ll never get back. What a terrible waste of time of a movie. See more Daniel M @DanNZ 2d The movie offers a refreshing perspective by showing the conflict from the "other" side, following the experiences of a Tiger tank crew. It’s genuinely interesting to see events unfold through their eyes, and the film does a solid job of humanising the crew while still keeping the harsh realities of war front and centre. The story is strong for the most part, though it becomes a bit hit and miss towards the end. With some adjustments, the final act could have leaned more into realism, which would have made the overall impact even stronger. That said, this doesn’t take away too much from the experience. Overall, it’s a very good watch and well worth your time. Tip: watch it in German with subtitles in your own language — it adds a lot to the authenticity and atmosphere. See more Peter L @Peter218 3d Okay, I just finished watching "The Tank" on Prime and... wow. I’m honestly blown away. This is hands down the best tank movie I have ever seen. Finally, a war film that actually respects the history! The realism here is absolutely insane. You can tell the director didn't use cheap CGI; the Tiger tank feels heavy, loud, and terrifying. The sound design alone is worth the watch—when that 88mm gun goes off, you feel it in your chest. They nailed the tactics, the angling, the claustrophobia... it’s just pure, unfiltered WWII grit. And it looks incredible. The cinematography is dark, muddy, and beautiful in a haunting way. It doesn't look like a movie set; it looks like actual combat footage remastered in 8K. The story? Total nail-biter. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It’s intense, emotional, and doesn't let up for a second. If you care about history or just want to see an incredible war movie, watch this tonight. Better than Fury. Instant classic. See more Read all reviews
