Allyssa Deleon Apr 21, 2025 Hated it, walked out. See more Rowan C @RowanC3 2 days ago The Strangers: Prey at Night was not a better movie than the first, but I still enjoyed watching it. This family traveled to Catlin's Lake and stayed at a trailer park. The 3 masked killers had everything already set up when they got there, and they immediately started attacking. What makes this movie worse than the first was the lack of stalking. I had way more anxiety in the first movie than I did in this one because they started killing right away. I do like that these two siblings, Kinsey (Bailee Madison) and Luke (Lewis Pullman), decided to fight back. They managed to take out all of the killers, and they both survived that treacherous night. Again, I think both of these movies are hated way too much, and I thought they were both good. Speaking of anxiety, I also thought this movie lacked a bit of suspense, but I get that they were going for more of a "fight back" situation. Overall, I still liked this movie, but it does lack some things that the first movie did perfectly. See more Benjamin W @Code70 4 days ago This was like… genuinely bad. Color me shocked, because that’s not what I heard. I had on good authority that this was an improvement over the decent but heavily flawed original. But wow, am I stunned to find that not only do I not think that, but I actually think it’s bad, too. Everybody talks about how stupid the characters were in the original- and they were right- but I think they were even dumber here. Some infuriatingly dim-witted decisions here. And to that point, none of the logistics hold up at all here. Again, I know the first one didn’t exactly have an immaculate script, but so many times, things happened where I would think “What? That doesn’t make any sense!”. Just all throughout the movie, in terms of who was where when, how the Strangers knew this and that, and so on. And my gosh, was the ending dragged out. And again, logistically made no sense. So yeah. I really am surprised. I went in expecting a solid- if not spectacular- sequel, and what I got was anything but.
