A small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day, he finds the courage to break free, embarking on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a lovable sheep who has lost her flock, and Dave, a dove who has lofty aspirations. Along with three camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become accidental heroes in the greatest story ever told -- the first Christmas.

This animation offers a light and fun perspective on the Nativity by focusing on the animals' journey. Although it doesn't bring any artistic innovation and relies heavily on visual clichés from modern digital productions, it manages to balance the religious message with effective family entertainment, without becoming excessively tedious for adults.

The Star (2017) is a lighthearted animated retelling of the Nativity story told from the perspective of the animals involved. While the idea is interesting and clearly aimed at a family audience, the execution feels fairly average and doesn’t fully stand out among other faith-based or holiday animated films. The animation is colorful and serviceable, and there are a few charming moments, especially with the animal characters. However, the humor is often too simple, and the story stretches itself thin trying to add comedic side plots that don’t always land. The emotional impact of the historical story it’s based on is also softened quite a bit, making it feel less meaningful than it could have been. It’s not bad, just very middle-of-the-road—watchable for kids, but not particularly memorable. Overall, i'd gave it a 5/10.

This is an adorable family friendly movie about the animals perspective during the birth of thee Messiah Christ. The other reviews feels personal towards the faith than about the movie itself. I enjoyed the hilarious camels and didn’t realize how many celebrities were in this film. My favorite character is Dave the bird. I also cried when every knee bowed when Christ was born. Is this movie memorable no is it kid friendly yes.

This movie shows how important friendship is, it teaches children that compassion and forgiveness is valuable, and the animation is beautiful. We watch it each Christmas
