The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is a visually polished but ultimately uneven entry in the SpongeBob franchise. While the animation is clean, colorful, and pushes the characters into a new stylistic direction, the film struggles where it matters most: the screenplay. The story feels thin and disconnected, lacking the heart and clever structure that once made SpongeBob stories memorable. Humor leans too heavily on randomness and recycled gags rather than sharp wit, making many moments feel forced instead of naturally funny. Even the emotional stakes never fully land, despite the film trying to build a meaningful journey around SpongeBob and Gary. It feels oddly detached from the spirit of the TV series, almost like a separate universe borrowing familiar faces. While younger viewers may enjoy it as a bright, fast-paced distraction, longtime fans will likely find it forgettable. It’s not terrible, but it’s a one-time watch that lacks the charm and storytelling strength of SpongeBob

I thought I enjoyed it when I first watches but? It’s an Average movie with nice animation and I love Listening to "AGUA"! The thing that disappointed me the most was that it was movie of an ad for a spin-off than an actual movie like the first two films! I miss the old times with SpongeBob!
