In this witty, new breed of mystery, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can't possibly understand. Like Babe, here’s another movie that’s utterly charming, completely bereft of cynicism or snark, and focused on anthropomorphic farm animals. The key difference is that in Babe nobody tried to bump off Farmer Hoggett.
